Steve and Debbie Dells are, in my experience, the two best realtors in San Francisco. My parents both passed several years ago and left their home to me. Having found their info in my parents’ papers (the Dells sold the house next door many years ago), I contacted Steve and Debbie before I had even decided to sell. Once I did decide to sell, they were invaluable. Since I live in Oregon, I was unable to coordinate a lot of the things that needed to happen before the house even went on the market. Repairs, painting, hauling, cleaning, inspections, staging, and more… thanks to the Dells’ knowledge and expertise, it all happened seamlessly. Somehow, they managed to keep me in charge of the decision making, but then took care of everything as if by magic. I inherited three houses in San Francisco & was somewhat intimidated by the potential amount of work involved in getting rid of a LOT of possessions. It would have taken forever for us to accomplish those tasks, or even find and hire the right people to do them. We interviewed five listing realtors and chose the Dells. There were several things about working with the Dells that convinced us we had made the correct decision in choosing them. First, they had the contacts and people to get everything done. Second, they organized the entire process and supervised it to completion. We took two vacations during this time and they continued working on the process without us having to be present to supervise anything. Third, they were on site whenever the houses were shown. They didn’t just leave a lock-box with the keys inside. Fourth, the staging of the houses made a huge difference in their marketability. Fifth, the photography and advertising in the MLS, their website and in the newspaper was well-done and timed well. Sixth, they accomplished the task within three months to close all three houses. And seventh, each house sold for far more than the listing prices and the sales prices I expected. I was glad that the Dells and their contractors did paint and stage the houses, as the money spent was returned many times over in a higher sales price in each case.
There are over 4000 realtors in San Francisco, and weeding through them to find the best is difficult. Having two realtors working together to sell the houses is an advantage over having only one. You would have a hard time finding anyone better than the Dells. Life is short…I think we are going on vacation again.
